IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (FOURWAYS)

Skills & Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support, network engineering, or a related role. In-depth knowledge of fibre optic technologies and Layer 2 networking (VLANs, MAC address tables, STP). Familiarity with managed switches and Layer 2 network device configurations. Experience with Ethernet, MPLS, and L2 VPN technologies. Proficiency with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Hands-on experience with fibre optic cabling, splicing, and testing. Preferred Qualifications: Networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network, etc.) with a focus on Layer 2. Knowledge of advanced Layer 2 technologies such as VXLAN, L2VPN, and QoS. Experience with network automation or scripting. Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
