Intercompany Accountant - Logistics

Job Title: Intercompany Accountant - Logistics Location: Port Elizabeth Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intercompany Accountant to join our client's logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of intercompany transactions and reconciliations, as well as experience working within the complex and fast-paced logistics industry. Responsibilities: - Prepare, review and reconcile intercompany transactions between multiple entities within the company - Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to intercompany accounts - Collaborate with other departments and subsidiaries to ensure accurate and timely recording of intercompany transactions - Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations - Prepare intercompany billing statements and track receivables/payables related to intercompany transactions - Monitor and communicate with counterparts in other entities regarding any outstanding intercompany balances - Assist with the development and implementation of standardized intercompany accounting processes and procedures - Provide support to external auditors during year-end audits Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field - 5 years of experience in finance or accounting - International accounting experience a plus o Experience operating in a team environment o Experience in both accounts payable and receivable function s o Experience w ith f oreign exchange transactions o Must have good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets (Advanced Excel abilities) o Cargowise and Freight Industry experience will be advantageous o 5 years of experience in an accounting environment If you meet the qualifications and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the logistics industry, we encourage you to apply for the position of Intercompany Accountant.
