Efficiency Staffing Solutions (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2022/876857/07 Job Advert Duties & Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee daily plant operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Monitor production processes and optimize performance to meet targets and minimize downtime. Ensure proper coordination between different departments, including maintenance, engineering, and HSE. Safety and Compliance Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry standards. Maintenance and Reliability Work closely with maintenance teams to schedule and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Ensure the integrity and reliability of plant equipment through proper inspections and repairs. Support plant shutdowns and turnarounds, ensuring timely execution and minimal operational impact. Leadership and Team Management Supervise and mentor shift supervisors, operators, and other personnel. Conduct performance evaluations, training, and development programs to enhance workforce competency. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and operational excellence. Financial and Resource Management Manage operational budgets and control costs related to production, maintenance, and utilities. Optimize resource utilization, including manpower, raw materials, and energy. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Project Coordination and Continuous Improvement Support plant expansion, modifications, and debottlenecking projects. Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Implement best practices and emerging technologies to enhance plant performance. Key Competencies Strong leadership and decision-making skills. Excellent understanding of petrochemical processes and plant operations. Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment and process issues. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and emergency response planning. Ability to manage budgets, optimize resources, and improve plant efficiency. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments. Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities. Experience in managing turnarounds, shutdowns, and plant startups Experience & Qualification Must be medically fit. Strong knowledge of industry regulations (OSHA, etc) Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and process control systems (DCS, SCADA). 3 years of experience in operations, maintenance, or engineering within a petrochemical, refinery, or oil & gas plant. Compulsory internal testing per candidate. A clear criminal record. Police clearance (SAPS) adventitious.
