Senior Financial Accountant

A leading group of companies , providing process engineering and project delivery solutions within the mining and minerals sector, is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Accountant to permanently join their leading organization in the project delivery sector. Reporting to the Group Assistant Financial Manager , this is an excellent opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) , with at least 2 years of commercial experience, to provide accurate financial reporting, analysis, and support to ensure efficient financial management and decision-making within a project-driven environment . Duties: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards and regulations. Manage large data sets, providing detailed financial insights and reports. Support the Group Assistant Financial Manager in overseeing financial performance, budgeting, and forecasting activities. Work closely with corporate stakeholders to ensure transparency and clear communication of financial information. Ensure that all financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual) is accurate and delivered on time, meeting all deadlines. Coordinate with external Auditors, Tax Advisors, and other financial stakeholders. Assist with maintaining compliance with internal controls, regulations, and accounting standards. Provide support and guidance to junior financial staff. Qualifications & Skills: A CA(SA) qualification is a must. At least 2 years of commercial experience, ideally in a project-based industry such as engineering, construction, or similar. Strong experience in working with large data sets, excellent analytical skills, and attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate and engage with corporate stakeholders. Excellent people skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork. Exposure to Australian accounting regulations or practices is an advantage.
