Concession Field Assistant

Education & Experience: A qualification in Nature Conservation, Wildlife Management, Field Guiding, or Environmental Science is advantageous. FGASA Level 1 or higher (Field Guide Association of Southern Africa) is beneficial. Experience in fieldwork, conservation, or game reserve operations preferred. First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Firearm competency certification (for reserves with high-risk wildlife or anti-poaching duties) is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of African wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation principles. Ability to track and monitor animals using telemetry, spoor tracking, or visual observation. Practical bush skills, including off-road driving and basic vehicle maintenance. Good communication skills for guest interaction and teamwork. Physical fitness and the ability to work long hours in remote locations. Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing field conditions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
