Job Description
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily lodge operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Lead, train, and motivate lodge staff to maintain a high standard of service. Ensure all guest needs are met promptly and efficiently. Manage lodge reservations, guest check-ins/outs, and billing. Implement and uphold lodge policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Develop and maintain relationships with guests, addressing any concerns or special requests. Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage inventory. Coordinate and promote activities, safaris, and special events. Handle guest feedback and work to improve lodge services continually. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in hospitality management, preferably in luxury or remote lodge environments. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages a plus). Exceptional guest service and problem-solving abilities. Sound financial acumen and experience with budgeting and inventory control. In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry and lodge operations. Valid drivers license and experience with 4x4 vehicles. Passion for wildlife, nature, and conservation. Ability to work in remote locations and under pressure. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
