Lawyer (Civil Litigation 4 PQE)

The Role A full-time opportunity exists for a 4 year PQE lawyer to join their growing civil litigation team. This role will see you taking a leadership role within the firm's civil litigation team, working closely with the relevant firm partner as well as managing, guiding and mentoring the team's relevant junior lawyers. Responsibilities drafting pleadings and motions;preparing evidence, including affidavits and witness statements;representing clients in court hearings, mediations and during settlement negotiations;preparing briefs;instructing and liaising with counsel;advising clients on legal rights and obligations;developing case strategies and solutions;managing, training, guiding and mentoring a team of junior lawyers;conducting legal research;handling correspondence, case management and ensuring compliance with court procedures; andgeneral client management. Key Skills & Attributes The successful Candidate will have both a keen interest and prior experience working in civil litigation.: have 4 years PQE in civil litigation;have a strong understanding of civil procedure rules (particularly in the Federal and NSW jurisdictions) and familiarity with rules of evidence;have completed a Bachelor of Law;have achieved strong academic results in university studies;take immense pride in their work;possess high attention to detail, resilience, tenacity, and diligence in all work carried out;have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills;have strong analytical and research skills;
