Junior Accountant

Ecom Commodities Pty Ltd is a market leader in cotton trading and part of the global group of Ecom Agroindustrial Corp Ltd based in Switzerland. ECOM are Cotton merchants with a long established relationship with Australian Cotton Growers. Based in Leichhardt, moving to Alexandria in coming months, we are currently looking for a Junior Accountant to be a part of our finance team in a full time position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is your opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work alongside industry professionals, and develop essential financial skills in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): Responsibilities: Overlooking Accounts Payable & Receivable Reconciliation of General Ledger Reconciliation of Forward Contracts with Futures and FX positions Maintain authenticity of General Ledger Intercompany transactions and reconciliations Assisting monthly management and financial reporting tasks Assisting in Yearly external & internal audit Assisting with daily cash flow management Ad hoc projects and business administration What We’re Looking For: A recognized qualification in Accounting and/or Business. Computer literacy skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required Attention to detail Quick learner and able to adapt to different situations Strong communication skills Ability to priorities work load Australian Citizen/ Permanent resident holder How to apply All applications are to be submitted online – click APPLY.
