Assistant Manager

About the role Vic's Food and Wine is seeking an exceptional Assistant Manager to join our team in our Sunbury, VIC location. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Venue Manager in overseeing all aspects of the business and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. What you'll be doing Assisting the Venue Manager in leading and motivating the team to achieve venue targets and deliver exceptional customer service Overseeing inventory management, stock control, and ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels Handling customer queries, complaints, and feedback to ensure a positive customer experience Coordinating staff schedules, rostering, and training to ensure efficient and effective team performance Conducting regular store inspections and implementing quality control measures Assisting with financial administration tasks, including cash handling and banking procedures Deputising for the Venue Manager in their absence and taking on additional responsibilities as required What we're looking for Proven experience in a management or supervisory role within the hospitality industry Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen eye for detail Proficient in inventory management, financial administration, and computer/IT systems A passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends What we offer At Vic's Food and Wine, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
