Job Description
Our client is hydraulic equipment supplier and after market service business in Australia. For the past 30 Years our client has also manufactured completed hydraulic solutions with installation & commissioning of hydraulic these systems throughout Australia . We currently have a vacancy for an Engineer in a office based role with versatility to manage site projects and possibility for travel overseas for Factory Acceptance Testing. What You Will Do Design, direct, guide, support and manage all aspects of assigned work from start to finish, ensuring all tasks are completed within set time and quality standardsPrepare 3D model and 2D fabrication drawings. Ensure that all design and engineering comply with, client and company standards.Prepare and manage engineering projects & daily manufacturing tasks, encompassing specification, design, validation and life cycle cost. Develop and maintain specifications, drawings, procedures, manuals for mechanical and hydraulic systems.Provide technical assistance to the sales and workshop teams.Make technical decisions, engage and supervise resources in the areas of hydraulic systems, manufacturing, and safety.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess engineering designs and propose effective solutions.Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholdersPlanning and Implementation of new & existing products into manufacturing and production engineering from initial design stage to production release and assembly.Point of contact for manufacturing teams resolution of technical issues.Keeping projects & manufacturing assembly moving smoothly by coordinating resources, monitoring progress, and resolving bottlenecks.Ensuring safety and quality compliance at all times, with strict alignment to AS/NZ and ISO standards.Working with the general manager in mentoring and guiding tradespeople, building a high-performing team culture while keeping a hands-on approach. To Succeed In This Role, You'll Need Engineering qualificationMinimum of 5 years' experience in fabrication design, coordination, project management, or workshop leadership.Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCADProactive manner demonstrating strong interpersonal skillsAbility to prioritize work deadlines in an ever-changing setting.Strong ability to develop technical documents, manuals and drawingsHigh Level of proficiency with MS Office ApplicationsAbility to manage and motivate a diverse team of skilled tradespeople.Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize jobs under pressure.
