Electrician - Midkin Gin

About the job Australian Food & Fibre is searching for an experienced and enthusiastic Electrician to join our Midkin Gin operations, situated 20kms north of Moree, NSW. Midkin Gin is undergoing a significant multi-year development plan, including the commissioning of a solar farm, switchboard upgrades and improvements to processing equipment. This largely autonomous role involves performing preventative and breakdown maintenance, diagnosing electrical issues and installing and maintaining machinery. You will also work closely with PLCs and computer control systems such as SCADA and Schneider, as well as both LV and HV systems. You will supervise electrical contractors and ensure compliance with OH&S and AS/NZS 3000 standards. This role requires you to provide availability during peak periods, including after-hours assistance during the ginning season (April-October/November) with flexible RDO options during the maintenance season, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. About you You are a skilled and proactive electrician looking for a tree-change with a current unrestricted A-Class Electrical Licence and valid driver's licence. You bring valuable maintenance experience in fixed plant or manufacturing environments and have strong expertise in PLC diagnostics and control systems. With a strong commitment to safety, you approach your work with a self-motivated attitude, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in compliance with industry standards. Experience in industrial electrical work and prior ginning experience would be highly desirable.
