Job Description

Full time, fixed term until January 2026 Key leadership role within the University of Sydney's Education portfolio Competitive SPSA salary package with 17% superannuation Flexible hybrid working within a collegial and collaborative team About the opportunity As the Head, Educational Integrity, you will be responsible for strategic and operational leadership in educational integrity leading the management, risk monitoring and reporting of institutional educational integrity activities. You will manage University-wide processes and systems, providing expert coordination across faculties, University schools and central portfolios to ensure the University's educational integrity. You will identify, design, and develop innovations for application across the University, including in the quality of the educational resources and development activities available to students as they relate to preventing or remediating breaches of academic honesty. You will also be responsible for identifying, analysing, and managing risks to educational integrity and work with stakeholders across all areas of the institution to maintain or establish new risk management controls. You will regularly provide expert advice to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), Academic Registrar, portfolio executives and other University leaders and stakeholders, and build strong working relationships with counterparts at other institutions through networks to promote collaboration and the sharing of knowledge. This is a team with an exciting portfolio of work in the emerging AI space. If you are a talented leader and would like to work in a highly collaborative team with extensive interaction across the University, we would love to hear from you Your key responsibilities will be to: provide strategic and operational leadership across the educational integrity team provide advice on educational integrity matters and recommend optimal courses of action provide advice on complex policy and procedural matters that may arise with tact and discretion monitor compliance with and implementation of University policy and regulatory requirements as they relate to educational integrity proactively manage risks to the University's educational integrity manage communications and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders provide effective management of the Office's human and financial resources About you a tertiary qualification in a relative field or proven experience within a similar role experience in student academic integrity, misconduct or compliance matters within the higher education sector experience in interpreting and advising others on policies in a University or other tertiary education provider, particularly on student academic integrity and academic misconduct experience in, or knowledge of technology relevant to academic integrity experience in managing complex matters with tact and discretion.
