About the Role Our Finance Operations team provides the financial insights, analytics and control that underpins Tabcorp’s success. We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Sydney office and be part of the team that ensures the accuracy and integrity of Tabcorp Group’s general ledger, financial reporting and compliance with industry and regulatory payment obligations. In this key role, you’ll oversee and optimize commercial payment and reporting processes, both domestic and international. Specifically, you will: Manage calculations prepared by the offshore team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.Prepare and review financial documentation, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and other records related to commercial payments and billing.Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate payment processes.Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and providing necessary records.Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and industry authorities, to ensure seamless payment operations.Ensure all payment processes comply with applicable laws and regulations. About You To be successful in this role you’ll possess a strong foundation in financial and operational accounting where you have developed a meticulous approach to accuracy and compliance. Additionally, you will possess: a strong accounting, financial and analytical background and experience managing commercial payments;experience in large and complex corporate settings;a tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CA or CPA certification;a strong understanding of Australian accounting principles and regulatory standards;proficiency in ERP systems, such as Oracle;demonstrated ability in process improvement and change management;high attention to detail in financial document preparation and review;andfamiliarity or interest in the Wagering industry and its regulatory landscape is advantageous.
