Designer - Accessories

The Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Designer to join our Accessories team based in our Sydney Support Office. We are looking for a tenacious and detail-orientated individual who is eager to learn and contribute strongly to the continued success of our Accessories Design team. Reporting to the Head of Design (FR) and collaborating and working closely with the Design team at every stage of the development process, this role will develop key looks, mood and considered design each season. This role is responsible for continued innovation in design, products and process and will have a focus on developing key relationships with our Design, Production and Merch teams. Product scope will vary slightly per season, focus will be on women’s First Retail bags and accessories collections. Key responsibilities include: Key responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) the following: Concept creation for Oroton brand, focus on women’s First Retail bags and accessories. Design and Spec creation for tech pack, briefing P1 samples to suppliers and handover of P1 to P2 sample briefing to Product Tech team. Day to day supplier follow up and communication. Costing, P1 to P2 sample, and updating reporting systems Reviewing P1, P2 and PP with Design team. Ensuring reporting design systems are maintained and correctly updated. Ensuring timelines / deadlines are met and adhered to. Working closely with other areas of the business such as Production, Merch, and various other stakeholders to support the business to meets its objectives What we are looking for: This role is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented and technically savvy professional who is ready to take on a challenging role that is going to lead the way in the concept creation and development our First Retail bags and accessories.
