Workplace Relations / Employment Lawyer

Position Type: Part-time - 4 days per week - with potential for full-time for the right candidate (someone with commercial litigation experience) About Us:Our client is a thriving commercial law firm established in 2016, located in beautiful Balmain. The team comprises 30-40 skilled lawyers who specialize in various sectors, including agriculture, equine, food industries, and transport. Role Overview:We are seeking a motivated Workplace Relations / Employment Lawyer to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workplace relations and/or Employment law providing strategic advice and support to their diverse client base. You will work closely with high net-worth clients to navigate complex legal issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities:Provide legal advice on Employment and compliance matters.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and agreements.Represent clients in disputes, including litigation and regulatory matters.Collaborate with other practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.Stay updated on changes in legislation and legal developments.Participate in team meetings and contribute to the firm’s growth and development initiatives. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in Employment and/or Workplace Relations. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance requirements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently.Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
