They utilize advanced tools like Microsoft Purview and other corporate governance systems to manage their enterprise data catalogue, data lineage, and business glossary. Your new role Oversee and manage data governance tools.Ensure data sources are regularly scanned to maintain an up-to-date data catalogue and data lineage.Collect, manage, and certify terms and definitions with the appropriate data stewards.Build strong relationships across the company, working with data owners, stewards, and SMEs to enforce responsibilities for maintaining data quality and standards.Review and create new process maps for systems and applications.Collaborate with the Chief Information Officer to develop and update data governance policies.Educate and support data owners and stewards in complying with data governance policies. What you'll need to succeed At least 3 years of experience in data governance projects or implementations.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Purview or other data governance tools.Solid understanding of data structures and models.Proficiency in SQL.Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with the business and drive outcomes.Experience in data strategy, policy, and risk strategy development is highly regarded.Willingness to work on-site in Newcastle or The Hills area of Sydney What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
