Some might even say it feels like being “right at home” In alignment with the Myer Merchandise strategy and Customer First plan, as a Senior Product Developer - Tabletop (known in our organisation as a Senior Category Buyer/Developer),you willdevelop, buy and execute a category plan that delivers a compelling and profitable merchandise range that puts the customer first. 12-month fixed-term opportunityOversee the Tabletop category in this Senior rolePerfect opportunity for a Buyer/Developer to step up and further develop their leadership career About the Opportunity Take ownership and drive the execution of the Myer Merchandise strategy for Myer’s Tabletop brandsFull accountability for trading the category and implementing appropriate tactical activities in relation to sales, profit, stock to drive business outcomesFurther develop your leadership career and act as 2IC for the Category Manager with potential to take on market scoping activities as requiredManage complete range selection for national brands including, order placement and financial performance of the business, including budgets, price architecture and sourcingDrive sourcing strategy for the brand ensuring product is sourced in the appropriate markets for both product improvement and margin gainMaintaining solid competitor and trend analysis to remain relevant and build a range to suit the market and Myer customer segmentationApply advanced negotiation skills to achieve optimal trading terms that deliver commercial targetsWork collaboratively with the planning team to determine assortment plans, conduct PSA, build product strategy, and determine best sourcing methods for the productBe responsible for marketing plans and our communications strategyLead team to high performance through regular and effective coaching, feedback, mentoring and training and development opportunities About you A dynamic, strategic individual with the ability to proactively spot new opportunities for the business within this categoryStrong business acumen, financial and analytical skillsSuperior supplier relationship management skillsExperienced in trade marketing and strong negotiation skillsPassionate for product with experience in ranging that demonstrates interpretation of trends into a successful product rangeA leader who inspires others and can lead by example Benefits to you: Generous Team Member discounts on all Myer productsWork flexibly from home and our Support Office based in DocklandsA supportive leadership teamVolunteer, parental and lifestyle leave availableService Recognitionand Inspirational People AwardsOngoing training and development for your career progressionThe opportunity to be a part of and contribute to the Myer growth strategy Here, you’re not only an employee.
