About The Role An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Project Manager - Housing to join our team. This role can be based in Sydney, Newcastle or Gunnedah. Regular travel to the Gunnedah region will be required. Reporting to the GM – Operations Commercial this role is accountable for executing the housing development strategy to acquire, development and maintain housing for the Whitehaven workforce. What You’ll Do Implementation of the WHC housing strategy Property development oversight – project management of housing developments from planning through to construction. Contract and contractor management of the housing development capital budget and invoicing Capital planning for the development and renovation of housing Proactively manage costs by conducting regular reconciliations of expenditure against budget, as well as cost reviews to identify risks and opportunities within area of responsibility What You'll Bring Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management or Contract Management working in the residential construction industry Experience managing budgets Proven understanding of legal and statutory requirements and obligations in the administration of contracts and housing developments Experience with NSW regulatory environments Why Whitehaven Coal?
