Administrative Support Officer, Psychiatry Co-ordinator of Training (PTC) Part-time Ongoing Position (21 hrs per week) Classification YC89 (Grade 2) Monday, Wednesday & Thursdays Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across three campuses in the north-east of Melbourne and state-wide. About the Mental Health Division The Mental Health Division (MHD) is committed to providing the highest levels of inpatient, residential, and community care in specialized environments for our patients. The department will lead and excel in research, teaching, and person-centered evidence-based practice to realize its goals. The MHD provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care. About the role The purpose of this role is to coordinate and deliver efficient administrative support as directed by the Psychiatry Co-Ordinator of Training (PCT) in order to provide service to the Junior Medical staff. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining processes that provide a responsive, supportive, and professional service independently, efficiently, and effectively. Excellent organisational and communication skills and advanced computer literacy and teamwork are required. The Administrative Support Officer is a critical position requiring effective communication to seek and provide information across all mental health departments, broader Austin Health personnel, and external stakeholders. About you To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate/key responsibilities as outlined in the Position Description. An effective administrator with the ability to develop relationships across board networks Provide and demonstrate a full range of administrative and clerical support. Adapt and cope in changing environments. Have excellent organisational skills while seeking and exploring information Be familiar with virtual meetings, documenting and organizing events, workshops, PS, and seminars. Foster a culture of excellence that is based on outstanding service delivery. Collaboratively working with staff to focus on quality and safety of services.
