About the role: The purpose of the Business Analyst is to deliver value to finPOWER customers and internal stakeholders by bridging the gap between the customers business needs and solutions by analyzing our customers’ business processes, systems, and objectives to provide recommendations and a blueprint required for the Product Specialists to successfully implement. This role will: Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats Creating development specifications (tickets) for the Development Team from analysis completed Creating web development specifications for the Web Development Team from analysis completed Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications Explain and assist the Implementation Specialists to deliver the system functionality from your analysis Define project requirements with Project Manager by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; Working with the Software Test Engineer to allow Use Test Cases to be developed as part of the overall business analysis Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends Understand and communicate the operational impact of any changes with the PM & BDM Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues Coordinate the support team to assist with implementations to new clients Skills, experience and Education Soft Skills: Excellent English language written and oral communication skills Excellent organisational abilities with high quality analytical and problem-solving skills Pro-active and sound logic with planning and task management Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment with the goal of meeting tight deadlines under pressure with multiple and competing priorities. Hold tertiary qualifications and have a minimum 3-years work experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role Experience in credit markets preferred with a knowledge of lending processes Great customer service and communication skills. Key Knowledge and skills required to be a success: Understanding financial reports. Knowledge of the financial markets industry essential. Experience analysing business processes for Software solutions. Writing up business specifications for developers to use. Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions. Excellent documentation skills. Qualifications It would be great if you have: Customer service and support experience Lending and Software experience Cert 4 or Diploma Finance Strong MS Office skills & digital savvy.
