Job Description
The role Clublinks Management has been appointed to manage and operate the state-of-the-art Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) on behalf of the City of Darebin. NARC opened its doors in November 2023. This fully accessible venue comprises of indoor and outdoor pools, aquatic play spaces, gym and group fitness studios, health suites, café, reformer pilates studio, change rooms and outdoor relaxation areas. The role will be responsible for overseeing the Learn to Swim programming and events for schools and supporting the teacher team at the brand-new NARC facility. The role will form part of the leadership team at NARC and be directly supported by the NARC Aquatics Manager and Venue Manager. Who are we? Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre (NARC) will be the fifth venue managed by Clublinks in Darebin, in partnership with the City of Darebin. Other venues currently managed in Darebin include two community Indoor Sports Stadiums - Narrandjeri Stadium and Darebin Community Sports Stadium (DCSS), along with two public golf course Bundoora Park Public Golf Course and Northcote Public Golf Course. We are open to full time or part time for the Responsibilities will include: Member of the Leadership team at NARC Work in close collaboration with direct Manager (NARC Aquatics Manager) and Venue Manager Direct oversight of all Schools aquatic programs throughout school terms including the liaising with schools contacts, bookings and program coordination Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, training and support of the NARC Learn to Swim team Lead Schools program planning and leadership Assist the Aquatics Manger in Aquatic spaces bookings systems to allow for schools programs. Grow school occupancy levels by hosting swimming carnivals, schools events and fun days Establish and maintain effective communication systems with all team members and venue users Retain and inspire the Schools Learn to Swim team Assist in the delivery of staff training programs, both in-house and external Manage staffing budget and targets associated with schools program participation Oversee rostering and program management, including maintaining safety standards Develop outbound relationships with local schools to facilitate ongoing usage Oversee that appropriate systems are in place to ensure OHS compliance of all employees with About you You will: Nail our values Leadership and stakeholder management skills AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate. Or Swim Australia Teacher AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant Aquatics. Or Swim Australia Teacher of Babies & Toddlers Strong written communication skills including the ability to develop, review and update processes.
