Solution Architect Services

Job Purpose We are seeking a skilled Solutions Architect to support various projects. This role will ensure continued architectural services and strategic alignment across initiatives. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will contribute to the success of multiple projects by providing expertise in solution architecture and strategic planning. Key responsibilities include: Assisting business areas in developing initiatives, including conducting architectural reviews and solution approach assessments. Developing solution architectures for projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategies. Identifying, scoping, and validating solutions while considering broader implications and compliance with established architectural strategies and standards. Maintaining and updating the architecture repository during project delivery, ensuring that any changes resulting from project implementations are accurately reflected. Conducting due diligence on project pipeline requests, evaluating technology options, third-party solutions, vendor offerings, and alignment with the technology roadmap. Providing recommendations and high-level delivery estimates for business case development. Offering practical architectural advice and support across the IT Service Centre to ensure a common understanding of opportunities, risks, and best practices in solution development. Required Skills & Experience We are looking for an experienced Solutions Architect with strong technical and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience as a Solutions Architect, preferably within a large-scale enterprise or academic institution. Strong expertise in developing solution architectures and aligning them with business goals. Experience conducting architectural reviews, solution assessments, and due diligence on technology solutions. Ability to assess vendor offerings, third-party integrations, and alignment with technology roadmaps. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Candidates with the following qualifications will be highly regarded: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. Experience in the education sector or public institutions is a plus.
