Salary: $84K - $95K (pro rata) Super - Band 5 Temporary part-time role at Brunswick Library (March 2025 until November 2025) 31 hours per fortnight includes evening and weekend shifts - 1 Monday, 1 Tuesday (evening shift) and every Wednesday with a minimum of 1 in 8 Sundays Ability to transfer or take LSL (Long Service Leave) within Local Government About Merri-bek City Council Merri-bek City Council is a progressive council of 175,000 residents: one community, proudly diverse. Our libraries are vibrant neighbourhood hubs offering social connection, cultural interactions and learning opportunities. Currently, we are seeking a Children's and Youth Services Librarian to provide high quality customer service, deliver early literacy programs, and provide meaningful engagement with our young people. In performing this role some of your key responsibilities will be to engage with our diverse community to provide excellent customer service. Assist with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide. Organise and deliver children's and youth programs. Conduct collection development work with our children's and youth collections. Supervise members of the Children’s and Youth Services team. Provide outreach to our schools, Kinders, day care centres and other places where our families and young people gather.
