We deliver flexible services so we can be responsive to a person’s goals, needs and lifestyle We are looking for an experienced part-time Disability Support Worker to join our Centre-Based program in Craigieburn to: Support people with disabilities to live independently and to achieve their personal goals. Developing and facilitating group programs that best suit the participant’s needs and goals. Provide direct support for individuals during program delivery such as personal care, behavioural, physical, and social supports. Create a positive environment for all participants promoting both physical and emotional well-being. Provide quality services and outcomes, by the relationships formed between staff, the people we support, their families and representatives. Providing emotional support by talking to participants about their needs and listening to their concerns. About you To be considered for this role, you will need the following: Certificate IV Disability/Aged Care or Individual Support, or currently working towards a relevant qualification Understanding of what is involved in working with people with a disability/mental health Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with participants and families Excellent time management, problem solving, communication and computer skills Ability to work independently and in a team to create a positive culture Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccinated NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check National Criminal History check Unrestricted Victorian Drivers Licence Experience and ability to drive DPV Health Buses (11-seater) Level 2 First Aid Certificate Right to work in Australia Our Talent Experience We kindly request you include a covering letter, addressed to Sandra Reddy, detailing your motivation for joining DPV Health and highlighting the qualities you bring to this position.
