If this resonates with you, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as Chaplain at Plenty Valley Christian College. About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and relational Chaplain with a vibrant faith and a passion for inspiring students to follow Jesus, equipping them to live out their faith and fostering a genuine curiosity about the Christian life. This part-time role (3 – 4 days per week) encompasses Kindergarten to Year 12, providing a unique opportunity to disciple students, embed biblical values into the fabric of the school community, and develop initiatives that inspire students to make a meaningful impact in their local and global communities. As Chaplain, you will: · Mentor students and staff in their spiritual journeys, facilitating opportunities for faith development · Curate and lead programs, chapel services, service projects, and reflective practices that bring faith to life · Collaborate with staff to integrate a Christian worldview into the curriculum and culture · Be a catalyst for embedding Kingdom values into all aspects of school life, shaping a culture of discipleship and service · Partner with the Wellbeing team to nurture the social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing of students This role is pivotal in fostering a community where faith is central, lived, and impactful in every dimension of life. About the College Plenty Valley Christian College (PVCC) is a kindergarten to Year 12, co-educational Christian College with more than 950 students. PVCC is committed to developing high quality, effective Christian education. We are committed to the establishment of a close partnership with parents in the education of their children. Our aim is to offer quality education with a fully integrated Christian worldview and to develop a strong sense of community amongst the students, parents and staff with every staff member playing a role in the pastoral care of the students. Key Selection Criteria: We are seeking applicants who can: · Model Christian ethics and embody a vibrant, active faith in Jesus Christ · Relate well to students and staff of all ages, building rapport through authentic relationships · Demonstrate experience in spiritual leadership, coaching and discipleship · Inspire and equip others to embed Kingdom values into every aspect of their lives · Confidently lead in both personal and public spaces, including delivering presentations and facilitating discussions · Curate and implement programs and initiatives that encourage faith formation and service Essential Qualifications and Experience · Minimum of Certificate IV in Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care / Mental Health / Youth Work · Relevant experience in a similar role · Current First Aid / Asthma / Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain) · Child Safety training (Mandatory Reporting) - can be completed upon appointment Applications must be received by no later than 4:00pm, Wednesday 19 February 2025 Early applications are encouraged as interviews may commence prior to this date Applications will not be considered without the following items provided: Cover letter outlining your suitability for this position, addressed to the Principal Current CV We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those candidates selected for interviews will be contacted
