Principal Litigator

We are seeking experienced litigators to join our Litigation and Legal Services team. As a Principal Litigator, in our Office of the Chief Tax Counsel business area, you’ll provide high-quality, strategic legal advice and litigation services to the organisation and ATO Executives in relation to a range of laws administered by the Commissioner. You may represent the Commissioner in courts and tribunals on complex and sensitive legal issues related to taxation, debt recovery, insolvency, or administrative law. You'll manage the provision of legal services using a project management methodology. You will lead and collaborate with a team of litigators to encourage the prevention and early resolution of disputes. You‘ll also support and grow staff capability and take an active role in the implementation of the agency’s strategic direction. These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Hobart, Melbourne CBD, Perth or Sydney CBD.
