Job Description
Position Information The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. We employ, develop and support teachers, leaders and other staff to deliver the best outcomes for students and to advance the wellbeing of Aboriginal people. About the Role To be successful in the role you will need to have strong planning and prioritising skills and good communication skills to enable you to work effectively with others. Within this role, you will work independently and within a team environment. You will perform a range of tasks relating to the laundry including sorting, washing, drying, pressing and distributing clothing and linen. You will undertake routine repairs to linen / clothing as per school procedures, complete basic stock control documentation and undertake stock control duties including the receipt and inventory of goods and equipment. Other related duties of the role, within the skills and competencies of the Laundry Attendant, as directed by the Principal. There are 935 students enrolled, with new boarder accommodate for at least 180 students, and a large multi-enterprise farm. HAHS is five minutes drive from the M5 entry/exit and 250 metres walk from Glenfield train station. It borders the Hume Highway M5 on the western side, residential homes on the north farm boundary, and adjoins the NSW Transport boundary on the eastern and southern sides.
