If this sounds like you, we would love you to apply. About the Internship This is a 6-month part-time (2-3 days per week) paid internship based in our ABC Radio Perth office in East Perth. This radio internship at the ABC offers a dynamic and immersive experience for individuals passionate about the world of radio, audio storytelling, and media production. Throughout this internship, you'll gain hands-on experience in various aspects of radio production, including research, talkback call production, story development, presenting, live crosses, editing, and outside broadcasting. You'll also learn about social media and digital content creation. About the ABC Radio Perth team Work with our experienced radio team, who are at the heart of producing captivating radio content in Perth. Our team is committed to creating stories that connect with local audiences, and we embrace diversity in all our endeavours. About You We are looking for an intern with an ongoing passion and interest in radio, storytelling and a commitment to finding local stories that represent the diverse communities in Perth. This opportunity is for applicants with a university qualification, or at least two years of relevant industry experience. You will also have: Community radio experience and/or proven relevant experience in podcasts or similar radio/media industry Eagerness and willingness to learn and an ability to take on feedback and improve Some or developing ability to produce radio/podcast audio content Ability to work well in a team, take direction and meet deadlines Ability to communicate clearly and effectively Proven ability to maintain and create connections with local communities An understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities Am I eligible to apply? To be eligible for the ABC Perth Radio Internship, applicants must: Have a tertiary qualification or two years of relevant industry experience. Understand the issues affecting people in Perth.
