Consultant Gastroenterologist - Derby Location: Derby, UK Salary: £105,000 - £139,000 based on experience Contract Type: Permanent (Substantive) or Fixed-Term Considered An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Gastroenterology to join a dedicated and dynamic team in Derby. We welcome applications from both substantive and fixed-term candidates who are passionate about delivering high-quality gastroenterology services and have experience in general medicine ward cover. About the Role: Provide specialist gastroenterology care, including endoscopy, outpatient clinics, and inpatient consultations. Contribute to the care of general medicine inpatients, including ward cover responsibilities. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Support service development, clinical governance, and research initiatives. Teach and mentor junior doctors, medical students, and allied health professionals. Requirements: Evidence of entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT at the time of the interview. CCT in Gastroenterology and General Medicine (or equivalent qualification). Experience in general medicine ward cover, with strong acute care skills.
