Job Description

Position: Mechanical Engineer Location: Abergavenny Working Hours: Friday – Sunday: 06:00 – 18:00 Salary; £36,500– £41,000 Additional Benefits: Weekly Production Bonus Overtime (1.5x) 27 Days Holiday We are currently looking for a maintenance Engineer to join our team in the Abergavenny area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to contribute to the maintenance and performance of our manufacturing equipment while working in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform reactive maintenance to address breakdowns and minimise downtime. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure machinery runs efficiently and reliably. Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to keep production on track. Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Ensure that all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to enhance equipment performance and productivity. What We’re Looking For: Engineering qualifications (time-served apprenticeship). Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and stock control systems. Familiarity with working with engineering schedule KPIs. Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and precision. Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
