Field service engineer

Job Title: Mobile Field Service Engineer (Home-Based) Location: Peterbourgh (UK Wide Travel Required) Working Hours: Monday-Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 Friday: 08:00 – 16:00 39-hour work weekAbout the Role: Due to continued growth, an established company is seeking a Mobile Field Service Engineer to join their team across the UK. The ideal candidate will have experience working with heavy earthmoving equipment, including Volvo, Caterpillar, and Komatsu machinery. This is a field-based role, and you will be required to travel up to 100 miles from home each day, with occasional overnight stays for work further afield. Key responsibilities will include: Servicing, repairing, and diagnosing faults on Volvo, Caterpillar, and Komatsu machinery Conducting electrical troubleshooting, overhauls, and other maintenance tasks Flexibility to work away when required, as well as a willingness to undertake overtime Regular interaction with the team to ensure that client needs are met efficientlyPerson Specification: To be considered for this position, you should have the following: Level 2 qualification in Plant Maintenance Full UK Driving License Experience with gas welding and cutting (ideal) In-depth experience with servicing, repairing, and diagnosing Volvo, Caterpillar, and Komatsu equipment A strong understanding of electrical troubleshooting and mechanical overhauls Ability to work away from home and a flexible approach to hoursSalary and Benefits: £16.50 per hour (reviewed annually in June) Overtime rates starting at time-and-a-half 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays 5% pension contribution Fuel card for business-related travel £10 per week tool allowance PPE (Boots and other protective wear provided) Daily food allowance when working away from home Premier Inn cards for overnight staysInterview Process: Interviews can take place immediately, and depending on your location, the process may be 1 or 2 stages.
