SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31 Daily Rate: £50-60 Start Date: ASAP Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Part Time Hours: 8:30am - 12:30pmLong Term Futures are seeking a patient and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' two-form entry primary school in the Northfield area. This role involves supporting a Reception child with ASD and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 basis. The position is long-term with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The Ideal Candidate: Experience: Supporting children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH, in either mainstream or specialist settings. Working in UK primary schools and understanding the EYFS curriculum. Providing 1:1 support, running small group interventions, and tracking student progress. Skills: Strong behaviour management strategies to ensure a safe and supportive environment. Ideally, trained in Team Teach or similar behaviour management approaches.
