We are seeking to appoint an qualified and experienced Level 2 Teaching Assistant - special needs to join the mixed primary with secondary special needs school in Peterborough. The Academy works with pupils and young people who have a diagnosis of ASD. About the role: The successful teaching assistant will assist the class teacher to carry out a range of activities to promote learning and development. This will include working on a one to one basis and in small groups. You will be: keen to learn with a positive outlook able to work on your own initiative experienced in working with pupils able to work as part of a team willing to undertake training have the skills to engage and motivate all our pupils. You will need to be able demonstrate you can develop relationships, be caring, flexible and an excellent communicator. A relevant NVQ or equivalent, along with previous experience special school or SEND experience and knowledge of pastoral interventions, safeguarding, social and communication support for pupils is advantageous.
