Financial Accountant

A well-established retailer in the DIY sector is seeking a Financial Accountant with a BCom Degree and 2 years of relevant experience. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity for a driven individual to manage the full financial function within a dynamic product environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and driving efficiency in the finance function . Duties: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Manage the month-end closing process, including account reconciliations and financial reporting. Support budgeting and forecasting activities to provide insights into financial performance. Assist with the management of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of all financial transactions. Ensure the timely and accurate submission of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations. Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and systems. Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring that the business operates with efficient working capital.
