Job Description

Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Skipton Salary: £35k - £43k per annum (DOE) We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team in Ilkley. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a passion for mechanical systems and maintenance to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment. Conduct fault diagnosis and repairs to maintain optimal production performance. Support improvements in equipment reliability and uptime, contributing to the overall efficiency of the production process. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with other maintenance engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Maintain accurate records of work completed and equipment performance. Requirements: Mandatory: Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline. Proven experience in manufacturing (eg. experience in pharma, med-dev, food/drinks/FMCG, aerospace, or similar industries is highly desirable). Strong mechanical engineering background, with a focus on planned preventative and reactive maintenance . Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well as part of a team. Shift pattern : 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm, rotating Monday to Friday (2-week rotation).
