Job Specification: Commercial Sales Manager Location: Hybrid, London Industry: Leading Value-Added Reseller (VAR) for Microsoft & Cisco Solutions About the Role Our client is seeking a driven Commercial Sales Manager to join their team, balancing hands-on sales with team management. This is an individual contributor (IC) role with a defined sales target, in addition to overseeing a small team within the enterprise division. You’ll work closely with senior sales leadership to grow and maintain client relationships, drive new business, and guide team performance. This position offers a significant opportunity to impact the company’s Microsoft and Cisco strategies, with a stronger focus on Microsoft solutions. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Lead, mentor, and support a small team of Account Directors focusing on achieving team goals and developing skills. Set clear expectations and performance metrics, tracking progress and providing ongoing feedback and coaching. Sales Execution & Individual Target Actively manage and grow a portfolio of clients, with a focus on delivering Microsoft and Cisco solutions. Generate new business opportunities and drive account growth through strategic selling and relationship-building. Hit a defined individual sales target while balancing team responsibilities and coaching. Develop customised sales strategies for each client, ensuring tailored solutions and high client satisfaction. Client & Vendor Relationship Management Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders within Microsoft and Cisco, leveraging these connections to maximise client engagement and partnership opportunities. Act as a point of escalation for client issues and collaborate cross-functionally to provide top-tier support. Strategic Planning & Forecasting Contribute to the strategic sales plan and team goals, balancing time between direct sales activities and team management. Use analytics to monitor sales performance, report on team achievements, and identify areas for improvement. Qualifications Proven experience in managing and driving enterprise sales within a VAR, with a successful record in client acquisition and revenue growth. Strong familiarity and connections with Microsoft and/or Cisco sales teams . Experience in leading or mentoring sales teams , with the ability to inspire and motivate while achieving personal sales targets. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a strategic mindset.
