Are you ready to be crucial in modernising and optimising wastewater treatment? As a Commissioning Assurance Engineer, youll be at the forefront of ensuring the seamless delivery of sewage treatment works, critical components of Thames Waters wastewater network. In this role, youll be the essential bridge between project delivery and operations, guaranteeing that every aspect of commissioning, from physical works and documentation to training and operational readiness, meets the highest industry standards. What youll be doing as a Commissioning Assurance Engineer Overseeing the development and implementation of robust commissioning plans for allocated projects. Reviewing and approving commissioning documentation, including commissioning plans, testing protocols, and acceptance criteria. Ensuring all MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) systems comply with required standards and industry best practices. Monitoring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements during commissioning activities. Identifying and escalating potential risks or issues during commissioning and proactively implementing solutions. Ensuring all documentation is present and correct Collaborating with operational teams to ensure seamless integration of new assets into live operations. Organising and supporting training sessions for operational staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and readiness to maintain delivered assets. Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, oversee testing activities, and ensure commissioning works are on track. Monitoring commissioning progress against the project schedule, identifying potential delays, and working with teams to keep the project on track. HybridOxford Sewage Treatment works. You must be on-site and in the office 2-3 days a week. 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Successful candidates MUST be a driver and have access to transportation - this role comes with a £4.5k car allowance. What you should bring to the role Hold an engineering degree or equivalent. Knowledge of Commissioning Complex construction or engineering Projects, project delivery and working with Contractors. Ability to manage contractors and commissioning specialists to deliver across a multi-discipline project. Own and resolve commissioning risks and issues across project delivery activities, including instinct for timely escalation. Whats in it for you?
