Director, Ethics & Compliance LATAM & Partner Markets

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance, International, as the Director, Ethics & Compliance LATAM & Partner Markets , you will partner with Cluster Leadership teams to implement and oversee a robust Ethics & Compliance Program. You will Co-Chair and drive applicable Compliance Committee meetings ensuring tone-from-the-top, oversight and management accountability for the effectiveness of the Compliance Program. You will lead and provide direction to the Cluster Ethics & Compliance team. This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule, and can be based in our Mexico City, Buenos Aires, or São Paulo sales offices. The Role: Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Legal, HR/Employee Relations, Medical Affairs, and other functions to integrate compliance considerations into business operations. Ethics & Compliance Program Management: As a member of the International Ethics & Compliance team support designing and developing Compliance Program elements ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory expectations (e.g. FCPA or applicable Pharmaceutical Industry Codes). Policy & SOP Management: Develop, update, and enforce company policies, SOPs, and guidelines to ensure compliance with anti-bribery & anti-corruption, health care compliance and other relevant laws and regulations. Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct periodic risk assessments in cooperation with the Enterprise Risk Management function, identify potential compliance risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Training & Awareness: Lead and conduct compliance training initiatives for employees, ensuring awareness of Ethics & Compliance standards and company policies, SOPs and guidelines. Monitoring & Assurance: Collaborate with the Monitoring & Assurance function to implement continuous and specific monitoring activities. Third-Party Risk Management: Manage due diligence and oversight of vendors, service providers, distributors, and agents to ensure compliance with CSL principles and standards. Investigations, Reporting & Remedial Actions: Lead investigations into potential violations, ensure timely resolution and reporting. Drive corrective actions for any findings. Regulatory & Compliance Acumen: Stay updated on evolving compliance regulations and industry trends, advising leadership on necessary policy and program adjustments. Your Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Fluency in English, to include fluid written, reading and speaking abilities is required; additional abilities in Spanish and Portuguese preferred. 10 years of experience in ethics & compliance, or legal roles within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry. Deep knowledge of anti-bribery & anti-corruption, health care compliance and other relevant laws, regulations, and Pharmaceutical Industry Code requirements. Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills. Ability to navigate a matrix organization. Ability to balance business needs with compliance requirements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in designing and implementing compliance programs, investigations, and compliance risk assessments. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% domestic and International travel.
