Placement Broker

Job title: Placement Broker Salary: £DOE Location: Leeds / Manchester (hybrid) Purpose of the role: Amazing opportunity to join the regional broking team of this leading broker, placing new and existing corporate insurance business. Key responsibilities: Identify appropriate markets for placement of corporate insurance risks. Provide technical and expert advice to key clients. Cultivate strong insurer relationships. Prepare market presentations and negotiate with insurers. Deliver tailored insurance solutions in conjunction with account executives, client directors and risk managers. Work closely with account executives, attending client visits where required. Grow portfolio but identifying new business opportunities. Keep Acturis records up to date. Adhere to company compliance guidelines and procedures. Attend network events. Experience: Minimum of 5 years' technical broking experience gained within commercial insurance broking. Experience of the re-insurance market. Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance products including property, motor, EL, PL, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Track record of working within the regional placing sector would be advantageous. Strong presentations and negotiation skills. Ability to work as part of a wider team and contribute to the team. Track record of building strong insurer and client relationship. Acturis experience essential as well as being computer literate. ACII qualifications or working towards preferred.
