Job title: P & C Underwriter Salary: £45,000 Location : Hybrid 2/3 days office based You will be responsible for evaluating and analysing insurance applications to determine coverage and policy terms for commercial clients. You will utilise your underwriting expertise to assess risk and ensure that the policies align with company guidelines and regulations. You will establish yourself as a trading expert among a panel of intermediaries and enhance confidence in the branch's capabilities through collaboration with their Underwriting Technical Centre. Responsibilities Evaluate insurance applications and assess risk for commercial clients Analyse underwriting data, market trends, and client information to make informed decisions Calculate premiums and determine coverage and policy terms Collaborate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information and explain underwriting decisions Stay current with industry regulations and company underwriting guidelines Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns Skills & Experience 3-5 years of underwriting experience in P&C Knowledge of commercial underwriting practices and insurance policies Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently Familiarity with insurance industry regulations and compliance standards Exposure to the UK General Insurance market Technical underwriting expertise in a diverse insurance environment, handling various lines of business independently Proven track record of effectively evaluating risks and making sound underwriting decisions Experience collaborating with brokers, agents, and clients in the insurance industry If you have the relevant experience or know someone that does please contact me now on 07458 162845 or email us at
