Manufacturing Engineer

Job Role: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Southam Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7.00am to 5.15pm Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum Benefits: Permanent Position - Free Onsite Parking - Pension Employer Contribution - Life Insurance The Company: A well-established East Midlands business providing engineering solutions through design and manufacturing of products for the Automotive and Industrial Sector. Manufacturing Engineer Role: Program Mazak machines for a variety of components across different machine platforms. Utilize CAD software to develop CNC programs for R&D prototypes, first-off production, and process optimization. Be actively involved in R&D, NPI (New Product Introduction). Conduct cost-down analysis and develop project plans aimed at reducing prime costs. Lead process improvement initiatives and drive NPI projects to the shop floor. Identify waste within processes and develop strategies to reduce it, driving continuous improvement. The Candidate: Strong collaboration skills, particularly in working with quality and production teams. Experience with Solidworks / Fusion / Hypermill. Previous experience in a Manufacturing / Production / NPI Engineer position or similar. Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues in real-time. Strong documentation skills to support manufacturing and quality processes. Ability to provide training for internal and external personnel as needed.
