Job Description
Job Description: Team is responsible for integrating systems and components for ePowertrain machines and electric drive applications. Team works on doing up systems and components and managing the requirements of each machine. Team has a broad range of experience, mixing design work with electrical and mechanical engineering backgrounds, and encourages cross collaboration across the overall ePowertrain group. HM team is also accountable for managing electrical safety layers on the team, which explains the need for electrical engineering experience. Team works closely with ePowertrain Controintegration and Systems Team and ePowertrain Simulation Team. Daily responsibilities: The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for utilizing knowledge of electrical circuits, currents and voltage, knowledge of power electronics, knowledge of Power distribution units or junction boxes for electricity to aid the efforts of integrating systems and components for the machines the group works on. The EE will use their System integration experience to help combine various components in a system and connect them electronically. Having knowledge of testing electronic systems and how the components work together will help quite a bit in this role. This will a 100% on-site role, with folks working on-site five days per week. The EE will work in lockstep with a project lead, who are responsible for one or more projects and/or machines. The Project lead will coordinate the day-to-day responsibilities for the EE, which will be fluid until a project is assigned to them. Top three required technical skills: 1-3 years of actual work experience working on systems in Powertrain space - (diesel electric, battery electric or a hybrid of the two). They would love someone with hands-on experience Electrical Engineering Degree and experience with focus on System Integration, Power Distribution, Battery integration, etc. Experience using model- based control development tools like MATLAB, Simulink or Stateflow. Experience using CAN development tools like Vector CANape or CANalyzer. Three Skills that that are nice to have They are looking for someone who has had hands-on experience in the past or understands the physics behind their drive train content, whether it's working on a farm and running heavy equipment or working on their own automobiles The idea is that they want someone who has done more than just software. Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $65.00 - $70.00 per hour. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select.
