Position Title: Special Education Teacher Location: Berkeley, IL Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract Caseload Details: Full-time Full School Year Middle School Caseload Two Open Positions: self-contained sped resource (pushing into gen ed classrooms to support students with IEPs Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of each student. Provide specialized instruction and support to help students reach both academic and social-emotional goals. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Modify teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as needed to support individual growth. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education (or related field). Active Special Education Teaching License/Certification in Illinois. Previous experience working with students with special needs is preferred. Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
