Job Description Job Description Minimum 1 years special education experience required. Soliant is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate special education teacher in the Columbia, Maryland area. As a special education teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs and abilities, developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with other teachers and staff to ensure that all students receive a quality education. Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities Provide specialized instruction in a variety of subjects, including reading, writing, math, and social skills Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities Use a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure that all students receive a quality education Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss concerns Requirements: Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field Valid teaching certification in Special Education Knowledge of and experience with special education laws and regulations Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff If you have any questions, reach out to Marlee Hobgoodwith Soliant Education at: Phone: Email:
