Grade Level: 5th Grade Subjects: English Language Arts (ELA) Pull-In/Pull-Out and Co-Taught Model Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher to join our 5th-grade team. This position focuses on providing exceptional support in English Language Arts through a combination of pull-in/pull-out services and co-teaching in an inclusive classroom setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong collaboration skills, be adept at differentiating instruction, and work effectively with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to meet the diverse needs of students. Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction in ELA through pull-in/pull-out services. Co-teach ELA in an inclusive classroom alongside the general education teacher. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications: Must hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education license. Experience with co-teaching and inclusive education preferred. Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP development. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
