Responsibilities: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in collaboration with parents, administrators, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported. Use a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to facilitate student learning and engagement. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the integration of students with disabilities in the general education curriculum and activities. Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to meet individualized goals and objectives. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and solicit input for IEP development. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and instructional methodologies. Adhere to state and federal regulations governing special education services and maintain accurate and timely documentation as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred). Valid state teaching certification in Special Education. Prior experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting. Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of students with special needs. Ability to adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
