Job Description Job Description Minimum 1 years special education experience required. Special Education Teacher Location: Kenton, OH Start Date: Immediately End Date: Mid-May (with potential continuation into next school year) Hours per Week: Full-time (35 hours per week), with flexibility to arrange part-time schedule if needed Work Hours: 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM (Monday - Friday) Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged students and a passion for supporting students with disabilities. Qualifications: Valid Special Education Certification for the state of Ohio (or applicable state). Experience working with students with a range of disabilities. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students. Excellent munication skills, both written and verbal. Experience with teletherapy or a willingness to learn and implement remote teaching methods. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities across various subject areas. Manage and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students, ensuring progress is monitored and documented. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. municate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and concerns. Use a variety of teaching strategies, including in-person and teletherapy methods, to meet the diverse needs of students. Participate in meetings related to IEPs, assessments, and school planning. Caseload Details: Number of IEPs: 13 Disability Categories: Specific Learning Disability, Other Health Impairment, Intellectual Disability Population: Students in grades K-4 Teletherapy: We are open to candidates who are interested in providing teletherapy services.
