Responsibilities of the Special Education Teacher: Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities. Provide direct instruction and support to students in both general education and special education settings. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best educational outcomes for students. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to meet individual goals. Maintain accurate and confidential records related to student progress and IEP documentation. Stay current with best practices and research in special education to provide high-quality instruction. Requirements for the Special Education Teacher Position: Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred. Current New Hampshire teaching license in Special Education or eligibility for licensure. Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
