Sewing Machinist

Our client is seeking a skilled Sewing Machinist to join our production team, this role requires precision and a keen eye for detail, utilising technical drawings and industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality textile components. Day-to-day of the role: Cut and mark fabric using appropriate tools, preparing workstations and organising workloads for efficient workflow. Ensure sewing machines are in full working order and materials are prepared for use. Follow technical drawings and build plans to assemble and stitch fabric and webbing parts, ensuring all components meet specified requirements. Operate various specialist industrial sewing machines such as Walking Foot, Adler, Overlock, Post, and CNC. Conduct inspections of materials and finished products to maintain quality standards, reporting any deviations or non-conformances to the manager. Maintain accurate work records and documentation, tracking the progress of components through the manufacturing process. Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a productive work environment, sharing expertise and assisting in the training of new employees. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist in a similar industrial production environment. Familiarity with different types of industrial sewing machines and the ability to operate them effectively. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow standard operating procedures accurately. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
