We have an immediate need for a Senior CAD/BIM Technician for our Edison, New Jersey office.

Recently, Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients.  LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Provide CAD drafting and Civil 3D modeling to support deliverables on projects
• Set up and maintain file system for project drawings and models
• Develop/update templates for the optimization of work flows
• Obtain work assignments from project managers and produce high quality electronically generated infrastructure models and drawings
• Lead in the development, standardization, and maintenance of CAD standards and library locally
• Review input from the project manager and lead designers on the project and back-check that all comments have been incorporated into the model/drawings
• Ensure drawing products meet the client’s requirements and standards
• Support the training and development of junior staff in AutoCAD and Civil 3D modeling
• Perform field site visits, field data collection efforts, geometry surveys, drawing/document management, etc.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in engineering/architecture/drafting from a technical institute or accredited curriculum
• 7+ years’ experience as an AutoCAD draftsperson/modeler in Civil/Site Engineering with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling.
• Micro-Station experience a plus
• Expertise in the preparation of roadway/highway/bridge/infrastructure plans for New Jersey county/state level clients
• Significant attention to detail
• Ability to meet project schedules and deadline within budget
• Experience with coordination with other disciplines and offices
